  John started doing business as a sole proprietor under John C Bedell, DBA John's Collision in 1975.

Some customers might remember John's Collision starting in a garage on Fair Oak Street just up from Mill Street in Little Valley. Quickly out growing the small garage on Fair Oak Street forced John to move his business to a larger garage on Erie Street in Little Valley next to the Little Valley Ice Skating Ring, in 1977. John continued seeing an increase in new customers and outgrowing yet another space. Once Rock City Dodge decided to sell their auto body shop and only keep the service center and showroom, then John knew this would be an opportunity for him to expand his business even more and he couldn't pass up the larger space on Rock City Street in Little Valley.

On March 16th, 1983, John held a grand opening to notify customers of his new location of 504 Rock City Street. This location gave John the opportunity to offer even more services to his customers. With the help of family and hired hands, John's Collision became a full-service center with gas pumps, mechanical repairs, tires, auto body repairs, paint booth, NYS Inspections, detailing, 24-hour towing, and so much more.

In 1999, John's Collision experienced a horrible fire that almost burned down the entire shop. We were lucky the fire only took tree rooms of the garage being the broiler room, storage room, and paint booth. Just a few minutes longer and the whole garage would have been burned to the ground. We are very thankful for the Little Valley Volunteer Fire Department saving our garage and all vehicles inside. While rebuilding, John was able to redesign they paint booth with better ventilation and made it more environmentally friendly.

At year end 2020, John said goodbye to being a sole proprietor under DBA John's Collision and decided to incorporate as John's Collision, Inc. for the start of 2021. John made this change to ensure the business and business name he built could be passed on for generations.
